CELEBRITY STYLIST JUNE ABROSE LANDS HER OWN TV SHOW
I have personally been waiting for this! June Ambrose has got to be one of the flyest women in the business, straight sick with it! If you don't know who she is and you think you know a thing or two about style or fashion you know nothing. Luckily for you this show is happening, I can't wait! So excited, throws up glitter, winding my waist, dancing around in a semi-circle.
Style maven June Ambrose will wield her magic fashion wand on VH1 on a half-hour docu-series tentatively titled, “The June Ambrose Project.” Ambrose has styled some of the biggest pop culture stars including Jay-Z, Mary J. Blige, Kelly Ripa, Alicia Keys, Sean Combs, Kim Cattrall and even The Dave Matthews Band.
Ambrose and her team will take on the challenge of recreating the images and brands of up-and-coming and established celebrities. Each episode will chronicle the rebranding of these musicians and actors and will be followed with a makeover chat.
Additionally, viewers will have the rare opportunity to see how Ambrose balances family and her role as CEO of her celebrity styling boutique agency, Mode Squad, along with her record label, book projects, style interventions for friends, fashion shows and photo shoots.
“We at VH1 are so thrilled to dive into the fashion world with none other than the industry’s top styling icon, June Ambrose,” said Jeff Olde, EVP, Original Programming and Production VH1 in a statement to the press. “June is a true original and a creative force of nature who will offer our viewers an exclusive peek behind the curtain into her world of celeb fashion and branding.”
One of the production houses on the project team is Ish Entertainment. Ish is responsible for: “Road To Redemption,” the series that followed the rapper T.I. during his year before serving a jail term for gun possession; “The Money and Power,” a series starring rapper 50 Cent in which he gives street advice to aspiring entrepreneurs, and several seasons of “Paris Hilton’s My New BFF” for domestic (MTV) and international markets.
The show will premiere in early 2012. –
