WORLD'S FIRST LOUIS VUITTON AIRPORT STORE OPENS

 

Louis Vuitton marked its impression today in the airline shopping market with their first-ever airport store,  at Incheon International Airport in South Korea, in collaboration with The Shilla Duty Free. Spanning to over 550 square meters, the shop will feature leather goods, women’s and men’s shoes, watches, belts, ties, textiles, fashion jeweler, sunglasses, watches and other accessories.

MILKY'S TID BITS: MISSONI POP UP STORE

The Missoni Pop-Up Store will be at Sixth Avenue and 42nd Street. The space opens on Fashion Night's Out September 8th at 6pm.

NICHOLAS KIRKWOOD IN MEPA

Nicholas Kirkwood  is scheduled to open his first U.S. flagship boutique in the Meatpacking district early next year. It will be a 1,500 sq. foot location at 807 Washington Street somewhere between Gansevoort and Horatio streets.

RAG & BONE EXPANDING

The Rag & Bone 73 E. Houston shop is expanding into the space next door. 77 E. Houston was occupied by Soho Cleaners until it moved across the street last December. Debut New York briefly used the space for a window display, but now Rag & Bone has taken over. The label's name appeared carved inthe entryway, proving the move pretty definitively. Bowery Boogie hears that the new space will house women's RTW, and surmises that it ought to open by Fashion Week.

The five-floor, 61,000-square-foot store will be Century 21's second Manhattan location, and is timed to open for the retailer's 50th anniversary, according to a press release.

MILKY'S TID BITS:

ZAC POSEN IS OPENING HIS FIRST STORE

WWD reports that Zac Posen is opening his first retail store in the meatpacking district, which will sell his lower-priced line, Z Spoke. Located on Washington Street between 13th and 14th Streets, the store will replace what is currently the Scoop Beach boutique, and is set to bow on August 25.

THE NEW WALL ST. DUANE READE IS HUGE!

The ginormous Duane Reade that opened today at 40 Wall Street looks to be everything that was promised and possibly more. An anonymous tipster—who was clearly sent from heaven and quite skilled with clandestine Blackberry photo-taking—was so moved by the Duane Reade that he decided to share these photos with the world. This self-proclaimed "jaded" tipster even likened the experience to "more like being at Barneys". Seriously.
