VERSACE FOR H&M

Holy collaboration news! On the heels of the Missoni for Target announcement (coming in September), H&M’s really stepping up their game: Versace will be the next designer to create a line for H&M! Following some of our all-time favorite H&M designer collaborations (including Lanvin, Matthew Williamson and Karl Lagerfeld), Versace’s line for H&M will hit stores November 17th in 300 stores worldwide.  According to a release, the line will include “iconic Versace pieces for both women and men, in gold, leather and colorful prints. There will be some belts, jewelry and even a few home cushions and bed linen.” Versace bed linen? We can’t say we’re not intrigued.

Check out the promo video below where chief designer Donatella Versace explains the collaboration, and actually models one of the dresses from the line (hint: it’s leather and studded. Very Versace.)

NEW YORK'S FIRST OUTDOOR HOTEL BEDROOM

Let’s take this outside.

Normally, fighting words.

Today, sleeping words.

Introducing The Outdoor Bedroom at AKA Central Park, a five-star hotel that’ll set you up a penthouse suite on a wraparound terrace, accepting reservations now.

Finally, you can experience for yourself the visceral sensation of sleeping outside on 58th Street. Well, technically, 17 stories above 58th Street in a lavishly appointed hotel room: a queen-size bed, chaise lounges, metal-clad fireplace and your own personal s’mores butler. Yes, finally.

Now, before your luxurious return to nature can begin, there are certain preparations that must be made. Namely, the reservation of a penthouse (you’ll want the east suite for its superior views/oversized rain shower) and a two-week heads-up. Apparently, it takes some time to move things like an entire living room and banquet table up onto a roof.

HEY DUMB ASS!

I know your saying “He is not talking to me!”  No, but mainstream media and the Government is talking to us that way every day if we continue to absorb their bullsh#*. A few days ago they reported that Lady Gaga was more powerful than Oprah. Really! Really!!! Not to take anything away from Gaga but you can’t compare the two. What’s next? Soldier Boy is more powerful than Michael Jackson?? (Not even in his death) And how many housewives shows do we need? Which is mostly comprised of unmarried bitches. (Although I did get caught up in the NYC housewives marathon a few days ago and all I can say is the next time I’m in NYC, Ramona Springer better watch her back!) LOL!

We have way too many pseudo celebrities... Why is Snooki a household name? And they gave Paris Hilton another show??! C’mon America!! It’s an insult to real actors. And our Government? Let’s not even go down that slimy road. When we walk up to the polls we should just identify ourselves as Mr/ Mrs Dumb Ass. How do they give money to people who fiscally ran this country into the ground while becoming excessively rich and meanwhile HSBC can blow my phone up for $77.  And Donald Trump or Sarah Palin for Pres? Please, I’m online right now looking for an apartment in Europe. Now, we have to take some of the blame for our stupidity. I mean anyone who bought a ticket to see Charlie Sheen live should’ve been required to take a psych test on the spot. What did you think you would see that wasn’t on you tube or every other TV station? ‘Duh‘  Beware of the TV people, they call it “programing” for a reason! We have to collectively come out of this fog. I mean does it make sense for the world to continue to crumble and people die around us while a show called “Survivor” is in it’s 20th season?
Think about it.

HERMES UNVEILS CUSTOMIZABLE SCARVES

Draped across the necks of royalty and celebrities since the 1930s, the Hermes scarf is a style icon its own right.

Now there's a way to make the luxurious staple all your own: A newly installed Custom Silk Corner at the brand's freshly renovated Madison Avenue shop in Manhattan offers one-of-a-kind scarves tailored to your specifications.

First, pick one of four iconic designs: the cheery 90-cm silk twill scarf, the vintage 70-cm silk scarf, the Gavroche pocket square or the Twilly silk ribbon. Next, choose a pattern: We love the pink paisley L'ivresse de L' infini ($385), the Les Voitures Nouvelles ($305), with antique vehicles printed on trademark Hermes orange and the Chinese New Year-inspired L'annee du Dragon pocket square ($165).

Block or script letters are $15 apiece, and anything from initials to a special date or a personal message can be hand-embridered.

Customized scarves take about a month to complete. (Simply call the store to get your creation under way.) with designs, 54 color combinations and 30 colors of yarn, the possibilities are endless. One thing's for certain, though: There's never been a more classic way to make your mark.
