This month, former Men's Vogue editor Jay Fielden took over Town & Country after Stephen Drucker left. Fielden will continue with the makeover of the title started by Drucker, who put Lauren Santo Domingo and her bare legs on the cover of the spring fashion issue, and said, "There are many ways to be rich these days. We just wanted to make it feel modern and a little sexier." Also: "I love any page with the words ‘price on request’ six times."
The creative director of that issue, David Lipman, will be replaced by Alexandra Kotur, who has been serving as style director for another magazine that showcases many ways to be rich: Vogue.
Kotur has been at Vogue for fifteen years, where she works on the Met Ball, the magazine's "Flash" section, and photo sittings with hugely famous people like Michelle Obama. Kotur, who told the Observer two years ago she would "fundamentally disagree" with the assertion that rich people and the things they buy were grasping for relevance in the recession, can help Fielden finish the makeover Drucker began. The May issue "will have a different feel" from Drucker's work, Fielden says. But that cover is "not the ultimate expression I hope it will be."

It's unclear who will replace Kotur at Vogue.
