FLOYD MAYWEATHER READY TO ENTERTAIN WHILE ORTIZ READY TO KNOCK HIM OUT

Floyd Mayweather's highly anticipated return to the ring is almost here. This Saturday (September 17), he'll take on "Vicious" Victor Ortiz at Las Vegas' MGM Grand Casino for the Welterweight World Title.

As the fight nears, the undefeated boxing great -- who last fought in May 2010 against "Sugar" Shane Mosely -- is ready. In the final press conference leading up to the fight, Mayweather is leaving everything up to his fists, and puts the braggadocio to the side ... at least for now.

"I don't have to brag, I don't have to boast. I'm going to go in there and execute the game plan," the boxer said. "[To Ortiz] You're an amazing athlete. I know you're going to bring your best. Let's give the fans what they want to see."

Ortiz, on the other hand, has something to prove. Despite holding the belt, he's the underdog ... and he's determined to be the sole mark on Mayweather's untarnished boxing record.

He even promises a KO.

"I want to thank Team Mayweather for this opportunity, but let's not forget, I am the current champion of the world and I will remain champion," said Ortiz. "Forty-one of those fighters [defeated Mayweather opponents]were not me. Forty-one of those couldn't move like me.

"I am going to teach you what it's like to have a loss on your record. Somebody's scared, but I'm going to hold my hands up and I'm going to put you on your ass," he continued.

Dubbed "Star Power," the night of boxing will have three world titles on the line. Floyd Mayweather will go after Ortiz's WBC Welterweight World Title, but also Canelo Alvarez and Alfonso Gomez will do battle for Alvarez's WBC Super Welterweight World Title; and Erik Morales vs. Pablo Cesar Canoin will end with one boxer grabbing the vacant WBC Super Lightweight World Title.

The fight will be distributed live by HBO Pay-Per-View, beginning at 9:00 p.m. ET/6:00 p.m. PT. Fans in the United Kingdom can watch the fight live on Primetime, channel 480 on Sky, Virgin on Demand and streamed live via the websiteprimetimelive.co.uk at 2:00 a.m. BST (Sunday, September 18).

Of course, remaining tickets are currently available for $1,250, $1,000 and $600. Visit MGMGrand.com and/or TicketMaster.com.

But, before Saturday, the finale of HBO's series, "24/7 Mayweather/Ortiz", will premiere the day before, on Friday (September 16) at 9:00 p.m. on HBO.
